Interior designer should work in a range of different commercial or domestic settings. The job combines the efficient and functional use of space with an understanding of aesthetics.

Ideal candidates will be a mid-level, interior designer or architect who is in touch with design trends but is extremely passionate about getting interior projects detailed and built.

The right candidate must have the ability to communicate with fabricators and architects and must have strong CAD skills with relevant industry experience within the built environment. Strong sketch-up skills are also necessary. Must have a strong passion for interior architecture.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Developing initial ideas and acquiring key information about potential projects, discussing requirements in detail and setting project schedules;
• Understanding  Project needs and the needs of the people using the building, developing design concepts in consultation with the customer and establishing final briefs;
• Conducting feasibility studies for projects;
• Researching and gathering information  relating to the interior project;
• Producing 'sample' or 'mood' boards for presentation; Conducting  presentations;
• Sourcing products, e.g. fittings, furniture, lighting, finishes, decoration and dressing, and providing samples;
• Develop and manage furniture and interior fittings packages
• Preparing detailed working drawing packages, designs, plans, models and schemes, renderings, often using computer-aided design software;
• Maintain effective communication with project team members;
• Interact well with other disciplines and clients in a manner that builds productive relationships;
• Supervising work at the design stage and on site;
• Working closely with quantity surveyors to establish costs and work schedules on larger projects, with architects and other design professionals to determine the best use of space, and with manufacturers and contractors;
• Keeping up to date with new developments in the design industry;
• Knowledge International building codes, standards relating interior design;
• Extensive knowledge of Interior Architecture detailing and specifications (Flooring/ stonework/ joinery etc.);
• Knowledge of FF & E procurement;
• Ability to prioritize and concurrently service multiple projects.

Experience/Key competencies:

• Minimum three years of Interior Design or Interior Architecture experience;
• Bachelor’s degree in Interior design or Interior Architecture or related design field;
• Languages: Georgian, English, and Russian.

Computer skills:

• 3Ds max (V-Ray);
• AutoCAD/Revit/Archicad;
• Adobe Photoshop/CorelDraw;
• Microsoft Office/Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
